We have improved our blog service by upgrading to the latest version of LifeType, the blogging interface we are offering for free.

The extensibility of the framework allows plugins and custom code to create, manipulate and use new permissions as required, better even than before. Therefore you will find a list of available pugin that you can activate and customize in the admin area of you blog:

• akismet: Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not.
• authimage: This plugin offers extra comment authentication for BlogExpat.
• closecomments: Allows to automatically close comments for posts that are older than a configurable certain date (default is 1 month)
• mobile & moblog: manage and update blog article through your mobile
• ...etc

Spam is one of the biggest concerns nowadays when hosting a blogging service. One of the most effective anti-spam libraries, Bad Behavior, has been integrated as the first layer of defense against spammers.

The administration interface and the summary/index page have been modified to use a more flexible layout instead of the fixed layout used before.
